Mo Go

So, Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy (winner of the award for the most Jewish name ever) has told midfielder Luka Modric that he is staying put at Tottenham and that the £22m bid from Chelsea will not go ahead. Even though Modrics contract states he can leave if he feels it is beneficial to his career, Levy is having none if it and Modric ain't a happy boy.

Well, he can take his wining and turn it into fabulous football. I say Go Levy! I love football obviously but it is just so split down the middle. On one side you have the fans, the atmosphere, the rawness and the game itself. On the other, you have greed. The players, the managers, the owners, The FA, Fifa, the sponsors...the lack of loyalty shown by any of them is next to none and it is shocking. The grass is not always greener and more players need to be told, in the words of many a brave Deal Or No Deal contestant, 'No Deal. You are staying, you are playing and you can damn well go out there with a smile on your face.'

Contracts should be honoured and not abused. It seems impossible to actually build a team anymore with every player chasing...well sometimes I am not sure. Tevez is a perfect example of this at the minute. 2 years at West Ham then onto Man United (understandable). 2 years at Man United and then onto Man City (very transparently for the money but could be guised as a gamble to take a team forward). 2 years at Man City then onto...Italy maybe? And his excuse, I am homesick and my wife won't move to Manchester (this bit makes sense whatever language you speak.) Well suck it up Tevez and grow a pair of bloody balls. Just shut the fuck up. You are a player and yes of course it is your life and you must have some say but is all this prima donna nonsense necessary? No it's not is the answer to that rhetorical question.
I have never really understood players that move for money. If a team the likes of Man Utd or Liverpool or Barcelona come knocking, it's hard to turn down. But it should be because of the power and potential of these clubs. The history, the prestige...not the wages you get. How much money can you possibly spend? You can't is the answer. I need to stop answering these rhetorical questions. Which explains how players like Ronaldo go through Ferrari's like an OCD goes through underwear. Use it, throw it away/crash it like an eejit and then onto the next shiny, new, bacteria free model.
If you are being payed by a club, honoured by the fans, running round kissing the badge like it actually means something...well just show an ounce of loyalty and you will be respected (Hope you are listening out there Gareth Barry.)

I apologise. I can't be bothered to proof read this as it is 4am and I feel like I have ranted on a bit and this blog probably has no actual point. Was only meant to be a sentence or 2 on Modders. Oh well, if I read it back over, it might at least send me to sleep. I will make it a bright colours to make it more fun.
